White Elephant

Two White Elephants frame the entrance to the Mukteshwar Temple which sits at the corner of Gandhigram Road and Juhu Village Road. The temple entrance is in the shape of Hanuman's Helmet and was the pick-up spot for the school bus that took us kids to Besant Montessori in Juhu Tara. Spent many fond memories staring at the elephants and imaging myself as Mahout.

Fresco Bakery

Fresco Bakery is the main bakery in Juhu. A place where you picked up patties, hot dogs, and freshly baked bread, the perfect stop when you are heading for your bus ride or walking home from the Juhu Bus Depot.

Juhu Bus Depot

An anchor point for the residents of Juhu is the Juhu Bus Depot. The place where you caught the buses to Andheri, Santa Cruz, and the other places in Mumbai.

Juhu Church

St Joseph's Church and Parish in Juhu also known as Juhu Church is situated at the entry point into the original part of what was once Juhu Village. The church was founded in 1853 and the church building has been rebuilt a few times since then as the parish population grew and the suburb of Juhu became more affluent.

Mukteshwar Temple

The Mukteshwar Temple in Juhu, Mumbai is a hidden gem, the footprint of the temple is small but the temple has seven floors, with each floor dedicated to the important Deities of Hinduism. It is an amazing temple and a must-see for anyone who has to opportunity to visit Juhu.

Bhel Puri

The Bhel Puri cart is a familiar sight in many of the Mumbai neighborhoods. The gathering point for neighbors every evening, to enjoy Bombay Chaat. This particular spot is by the Green Stepped Well.
